View Point: Reddy Vs Reddy

The recent escalations between Y S Rajasekhar Reddy and Khairatabad MLA P Janardhan Reddy is getting wide publicity. News papers are getting enough ammunition and everybody in political spectrum is excited.

For TRS party which is of late, taking a natural death due to waning public support, PJR is a good catalyst for the revival of the sentiment. It may be possible that PJR may get trapped into KCR's strategy and become a tool if the heat is not cooled soon. In this emotionally charged environment, PJR must use his wisdom and understand the "fox" in KCR and the kind of fate Narendra met in his hands.

For Telugu Desam it is even a bigger opportunity to show many things. First of all, it may try to project Congress as a party with no discipline. Secondly, TDP may use this opportunity to show lack of internal democracy in the party. TDP may think, if this Reddy Vs Reddy is seen as community fight, then the vote bank will be split and eventually it may add more vote banks. However, Telugu Desam and specially Chandrababu Naidu must remember that he did even a far worse anti-democratic coup by throwing out his mentor and father in law. Cleverly, with the aid of his media baron friend, that was never shown or projected either as a family feud or a fight between Chowdary Vs Chowdary. Even when Nadendla Bhaskara Rao made a coup earlier, it was projected as Congress coup, rather than Chowdary Vs Chowdary.

For Eenadu it is long term food or fodder to run another serial. This time to instigate the inner party rivalry, Eenadu is sure to bring the back room boy Jagan as a source for all these happenings. By doing this, and giving a sugar coated picture, it is natural that dissidence in Congress will go further up. After all, Congress got many tall leaders with no track record but with huge ambitions. Also it will projected as a fight between Reddy vs Reddy - or a fight with in community. By adding TRS (regional angle) and TDP (poor democratic values and lack of internal freedom) propaganda into this fight, it can destabilise the Congress fortunes further.

With in Congress right now there is no leader to match YSR. Despite his Government's poor record - YSR got freedom to do anything to pop-up his son's fortunes. Even if Congress loose the next elections, YSR would have secured his son's Gaddi. Then, again PJR will become CLP Leader and fight for 5 years against TDP only to handover power, this time to Prince from Kadapa.

The truce may come in coming days but it only weakens PJR position further in the party.

All in all, the net looser is Congress Party and PJR if he does not reconcile quickly
