"Make an issue out of everyting - day in and and out" - this is what looks like Telugu Desam Party Strategy. I am not coming to a quick conclusion that there are no issues in AP State.
Todays incident at Maharastra state border may eventually divert from the main issue. In the first place, I never understood what Telugu Desam party wants to achieve by going to the dam site with big fanfare. TDP is only playing cheap tricks. They wanted to emotionally charge the people on the either side of the border. By bringing slogans like Telugu Pride etc., the party is putting the Telugu Speaking people living in Maharastra on knife edge. If there is an issue there are established means and methods to address them in a democracy. For Chandrababu Naidu having been in the power for 9 years no lessons are required. By using people like Nagams and Mysooras, Babu is making things worse for the Government of Andhra Pradesh. The Kaveri dispute is running for decades. When Alimatti Dam hight was increased the same Babu could not do anything significant to stop that activity. All the opposition parties went to PM to represent their case. TDP was a party in that delegation. The PM promised to look into the matter.
Now, TDP as a matured and responsible opposition should have worked behind the Govt and extended moral support. Instead TDP actions are putting the common people lives on either side in jeopardy.
Shoutings, hartals aided with the Newspapers unilatory judgements, the issue is getting away from the core and eventaully it is the AP state that might have to pay the price.
For TDP if a Minsiter talks it is an issue. If a Minister does not talk it is an issue. This culture of making an issue must stop soon else, TDP would be the net looser. Eventually, TDP itself will come into the power on day or other and the kind of over reaction that is exibited today for short-term gains will bring long term losses
Listen to the Government what is says
If you have a point make a constructure suggestion
Do not use the newspapers as judges
Finally, remember that there are number of Telugu people living on the other side!
