Six Key Decisions for united Andhra Pradesh

Now that Srikrishna committee report given the verdict, some historic and futuristic corrections are needed in order the bring down the emotions across the state of Andhra Pradesh. And the top six actions are:

1. Change the name of Andhra Pradesh state: Andhra, the word is not a super set of the word Telugu. During the course of 50 years, Andhra is identified more with the 9 or 10 coastal districts. As a result, other regions have been marred by the identity crisis. For identity of Telugu people, two homogeneous names are more appropriate: Telugu Nadu (the land of Telugu people) or Telungu Nadu against Andhra Pradesh (the land of Andhras). As a matter of fact Telangana is more representative of Teleng (Telugu) people. By re-christening Andhra Pradesh as Telugu Nadu or Telungu Nadu, regional bias is corrected for good.

2. Make Bonalu a state festival and declare holiday: Bonalu and Bratukamma are the two most important festivals for the Telengana region. By making them State festival - Telengana Culture would be officially recognised and over a period of time, it would be adapted across the state.

3. Ban further investments in Hyderabad Metro area: The key message from Srikrishna commission is, Hyderabad is grown too big & it became the hub of all the development across the state. We need to develop, regional metropolis beyond - Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam. Identify for example Warangal - Karimnagar belt or Tirupathi-Kadapa belt for all the future investments and spread the development across the state. For example, Pune-Chinchwad or Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu are planned as alternative industrial belts in those states.

4. Develop Highways that pass across the regions: One of the key elements for development is - highways. In the state we have all the major highways pass through or around Hyderabad. For regional integration, we need the motorways or highways from and across the core regions. For example, highway from Kakinada to Karimnagar across the forests to cut the distance or from Mahabubnagar to Nellore. If the distances are cut and development is spread people move anywhere - as we have seen with migration to US or West.

5. Honour the Gentlemen agreement: The Congress Government is a culprit for creating all the problems by not honouring the Gentlemen agreement. Allocate Deputy CM to Telengana Region or Andhra / Rayalaseema region as appropriate. These small decision would not have created the disgruntled or jobless politicians.

6. Overhaul the Universities: Like previous Telengana and Andhra agitations, this time as well - the situation turned volatile in entire Andhra Pradesh when students entered the scene. The problem which most of the students at the Universities do not understand is - while the Government sector employment is coming down the Private sector is the key source for the employment growth and opportunities. Politicians are using the students for their own political future than the students welfare. Even if Andhra Pradesh state is divided net gain for the students is very marginal in the overall job market from Government Sector
