With State and Centre Elections on the horizon we are seeing hectic political activity in Andhra Pradesh politics. From a gally leader everyone want Power and an opportunity to serve poor and downtrodden.
We have host of parties in the state all keen to serve the people - Congress, Telugu Desam, Telangana Rastra Samithi (TRS), Prajarajyam Party (PRP), Communists and other small parties.
I picked up the leaders from across the spectrum to identify their real agenda:
Dr Y S Rajasekhar Reddy
Retain the power at any cost. Consolidate his position within the party by crushing all the dissident against him or his supporters. Continue to split the opposition with wily politics. Ensure that Madam Sonia at Delhi is happy. Finish the Telugu Desam Party if he return by another term. Groom his son Jaganmohan Reddy his son as his successor and may be next Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. Become richest man in the state. Disguise himself under Hindu Reddy name and continue as a practising Christian. Teach further lessons to bete-e-noire Ramoji Rao, Eenadu and Andhra Jyothy. Keep a blind eye on allegations. Keep talking about the development
Nara Chandrababu Naidu
Defeat congress at any cost. Get back the CM gaddi with the help any Tom (KCR), Dick(Raghavulu) or Harry (Narayana) - who may get him even one seat in that direction. Keep shamelessly singing praise of his dead father-in-law NTR until getting the seat and then ditch his name and his sons at the earliest opportunity. Change the tone on all the welfare schemes soon after getting the CM seat. Ensure that Ramoji Rao is cleared of all misconduct. Join BJP if it comes to power in the centre in "state" interests. Ensure soft corruption and continue to accumulate on the huge wealth and invent next big thing beyond IT this time. Sooth his community - but never help anyone. Become terror to State Government employees. Ditch Telengana agenda and wily KCR. Bring Lokesh Naidu into TDP politics "democratically".
Kalavakuntla Chandrasekhara Rao
Ensure that Telengana State would not come at any cost. If TDP comes to power start blackmailing CBN (provided if he contests as part of the shaky Mahakootami). Always move in circles or tangentially and avoid coming to central issue. Always blame someone for NOT getting Telngana State. Entertain the media along with Vijayashanti. Keep Telangana as hot topic during his lifetime. Bring his son - Rama Rao as successor. Ditch his nephew Harish Rao. Continue as maverick as he was and confuse everyone with nothing.
Konidela Chiranjeevi
Establish himself as Top, undisputed leader of the Andhra Pradesh (like as he ruled the Tollywood). Ensure that his community thirst is taken care appropriately. Keep Pawan Kalyan as bad boy and himself as good boy role play. Submit himself to Allu Arvind and play with his remote control. Speak on scripts and never attempt bring democracy to PRP. Keep all leaders with in the party at a distance.

u have not mentioned the BJP inspite of the fact that BJP has strong roots and at one point had a 20% voteshare before the alliance with TDP which forced them to abaondon Telengana marginalised them and are now trying for a revival . If the TDP disintergrates who will benefit .

I agree with your point. I think BJP is the dark horse. Today in the political map, BJP looks like orphan in the state. Touch wood, if BJP comes to power in centre, we have to see the stand of PRP and TDP and their so called secular credentials. I do not vote, but if were to, I will go and vote for BJP
